I downloaded the zip file for safestrap. I cannot get it to install on my s4. Can someone please help me. I have never had anything but a motorola. Sounds like you don't need to factory reset or Odin. All you need to do is install the latest safestrap and you can flash roms. Be sure to read up on safestrap & roms that work with safestrap. When you flash a Rom, be sure to use the correct modules for your MK2 build to flash along with your Rom.
I have a rooted Verizon Galaxy S4 SCH-i545 ( edit: NOT GT-i9505) updated to the ME7 baseband version. I would like to upgrade to, which appears to be designed for the GT-i9505, but I don't know much (read: anything) about flashing and I can't understand which methods are or are not expected to work: • Flashing with TWRP or CWM Recovery apparently (?) requires an unlocked bootloader; with a locked bootloader, installing TWRP or CWM and rebooting just brings up an 'unauthorized software' screen. However, there is for unlocking the bootloader for Verizon S4s including (I think) those with the ME7 baseband. So does this mean that TWRP and CWM Recovery can't be used on my phone?

• It appears that the standard way of bypassing the locked bootloader is to use Safestrap, but there are some comments in the ROM announcement thread and in the announcement itself at stating that Safestrap can't be used with this ROM. Is that actually the case? Why are some ROMs not usable with Safestrap?
• Will Odin or allow me to bypass the bootloader and install either the ROM itself or CWM or TWRP? • Is there anything I can do with the Android SDK and associated tools ( fastboot, adb, etc) to circumvent the bootloader problem? If none of these are expected to work, how exactly is the above ROM supposed to be used with a Verizon S4? Are people with the ME7 and other bootloader-locked baseband versions just out of luck? EDIT: Are the GT-i9505 and SCH-i545 even comparable?
Sometime ago I had my (SGH-i337) to because I wasn’t done testing the stock image from Samsung / AT&T. Now its time for me to prepare to install; Before I can do so I need to install ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) which is a replacement recovery option for Android devices, made by Koushik “Koush” Dutta. While the boot-loader on AT&T’s Galaxy S4 is locked there is a way to install the custom recover using the which bypasses the boot-loader check to enable the custom recover options and allow you to install ROM’s. So a few things we need to start and I’ll provide steps that worked for me. Phone must have been rooted before starting this process (as you will need to move files around in system directories that you can only access as root You need to download the loki_flash form: or from Github: You will need to download the recover.lok for Galaxy S4 from: Once downloaded use any file explorer that is able to be run as superuser – Example: and locate the two files you have just downloaded.
Select and copy the files loki_flash and recovery.lok to the following directory: /data/local/tmp If not already installed download the and once at the command line type “ su” without the quotes to elevate to superuser. Once elevated in the terminal change directory by typing: cd /data/local/tmp| verify you are in the right location by typing “ ls” without the quotes and you should see the files recovery.lok and loki_flash In this directory ( /data/local/tmp) type chmod 775 * Now you will need to run the loki script by typing he following:./loki_flash recovery recovery.lok| once this is run you will receive a successful message, you can then (when ready) type: reboot recovery in the Android Terminal. Patch custom maid 3d game + dlc + crack. Yeah, I made mistakes along the way. In the end it worked out. Congratulations you now have ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) and better yes the power to backup/restore ROMs and install custom ROMs such as CyanogenMod To get back into recovery you have two methods: • Access the Android Terminal Emulator and “ su ” into superuser and type: reboot recovery • Power off your phone and power on again holding the volume up, center button and power button.
